PROCESS
It takes collaboration to create a dynamic PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOT or PORTRAIT. So, along the way to capturing your brand matching image, expressions are reviewed and adjusted during your studio session. Once that perfect balance between confidence and approachability meets your approval, your selections are retouched and uploaded to a password protected webpage where you may download the high resolution files to your devices for your unlimited use.
WHAT TO WEAR
Clothing
If you feel comfortable in it, you’ll photograph well wearing it, but few guidelines to keep in mind while perusing your closet for your headshot or portrait outfit include:
1) Solid colors are safe choices for their timelessness;
2) T-shirts, tank tops, collared shirts, sweaters and jackets create dimension;
3) Subtle textures and patterns add interest.
Still in doubt? Bring options. We have a steamer in the studio to solve any wrinkle issues that arise in transport.
Jewelry
Jewelry is best kept to a minimum. Studs or small earrings and simple necklaces are fine, while anything hanging or chunky has the potential to draw attention away from you.
MAKEUP & HAIR
Women
Makeup is recommended for women and applying your own is acceptable. But arranging to hire one of our professional makeup artists is an option.
If a major hair transformation is in order, mention this prior to your session so we can arrange for the appropriate hair specialist. Otherwise, simply come to the studio hair ready.
Men
Since all released images are retouched, makeup is not recommended for men. Alternatively, when being photographed with facial hair, men should consider bringing their own personal grooming tools to the studio for any needed adjustments.
BACKGROUNDS
White, black, and grey are standard background options, while custom brand identifying backgrounds can be added in post for an additional fee. If a custom background is preferred, just let us know when scheduling so we can coordinate ahead of your appointment.
SCHEDULING & PAYMENTS
Securing Sessions
Headshot and portrait sessions are secured with a non-refundable 50% deposit payable at time of scheduling with the balance due on the day of the shoot with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cash or checks.
Image Retouching
Headshot and portrait sessions fees include one retouched image, Portrait plus headshot sessions include two retouched images. Additional retouched image requests are available at $100 per image.
Session Buyout
Unretouched high-resolution images are released directly to clients only when a full buyout of the session is elected at pricing TBD. Should you choose this option, you may work with our retouchers or use a lab of your choice to finalize your images.
Makeup & Hair
Freelance hair and makeup artists are paid directly with fees starting at $200.00.
Where
Headshot and portrait sessions take place in our Naples Design District studio conveniently located at 1061 5th Ave N, Naples, Florida.
